  1. Review your installed motors
Assess efficiency levels to see how many motors are affected. A motor appraisal is the best way to do this.
  2. Review your motor stock
Use up your stock of older, less efficient motors and re-stock with new IE3 versions.
  3. Talk to your motor suppliers
They should already know they will no longer be able to supply IE2 motors and should be able to advice you on upgrading to IE3.
  4. Brief your maintenance staff
Letting your team know about IE3 and the reasons behind it, will get them on board with the changeover.
  5. Upgrade your motor management policy
Put this in place now to make sure all the motors you order from now on will be IE3 compliant.
